MIT – Admission FAQ

 

Q: Do I need very high [matic] results in order to get in?

A: A high [matric] score definitely helps but we consider several parameters to determine admission.


Q: Where do I take the entrance exam and how do I get prepared?

A: The entrance exam is believed to measure your aptitude in mathematical and verbal areas, so there is no much need to prepare. We have exam locations in several cities in Tigrai [list of cities] and we’re planning to establish test locations in Addis Ababa.

 

Q: When is the entrance exam given?

A: We give the entrance exam about one month prior to enrollment; we post the exact date at [THE_LINK_TO_EXAM].


Q: What are the minimum qualifications to be considered for admission?

A: Only student who’ve successfully completed High school and taken [matric] may apply. We don’t have official cutoff mark for you high school grades but a score of [MIN_SCORE] in [MATRIC] is the minimum for consideration.

 

Q: What is your admission rate?

A: The average admission rate for the last two years is [THE_RATE].


Q: How do I get notified whether I am accepted or not?

A: We post the names of students on our website as soon as we make the decisions. Furthermore, we broadcast the names of accepted students on Dmtsi Weyane radio and you can also ask by phone.

 

Q: Are there any required courses from High school?

A: If you are in the Natural science stream, you’ll have already taken the required courses. But for a comprehensive list, the following are prerequisites.

· Elementary calculus

· High School physics

· Advanced Biology and Chemistry[for BCEN majors]
